About Anna Rose Soevik
A British artist who made Bethesda her home in 2000, artist Anna Rose Soevik is known for her contemporary large canvases in Europe, where she had numerous solo exhibitions, including the Fein Arts Gallery in Brussels, and the Pulchri Studio, the oldest painter’s society in the Netherlands by invitation only, at the center of The Hague. She has been featured in group shows in New York City, at Agora Gallery and the New York Art Expo; in Canada at the Gora Gallery; and in Belgium at the International Art Fair.
Anna Rose was born in the city of Norwich in Norfolk, UK, in 1965 and received her BA in Fine Arts from Ravensborne in London; and a Foundation in Fine Arts, Painting from the Norwich Art School, UK.

Current Exhibition
Anna’s most recent public works feature large-scale line drawings and mixed-media, contemporary portraits of community organizers, including President Obama, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and others. They are on display in Washington, DC, and create an inspiring atmosphere at the Busboys and Poets cafe at 5th and K with others at the 14th and V location and in Shirlington, VA. The gift shop at 5th & K offers limited edition giclee prints of the artist’s portrait of President Obama.
Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts

Individual contemporary portraits of visiting performers, Bill Cosby, Elvis Costello, Tom Jones, Gladys Knight and Diana Krall by Anna were on display in the VIP member lounge throughout the 2009 summer season, autographed by several of the artists and donated to be sold at auction to benefit the Wolf Trap Foundation.
